The Orange County Sanitation District (OC San) is pleased to announce the election of Jon Dumitru, Councilmember for the City of Orange, as the new Board Chairperson, and Christine Marick, Councilmember for the City of Brea, as the Board Vice Chairperson.

Jon Dumitru succeeds Ryan Gallagher, Councilmember for the City of Tustin, who led the OC San Board for two years, overseeing the completion of various strategic plan goals, including the agency’s 2025 Strategic Plan update, the rollout of the Resource Innovation for a Sustainable Environment (RISE) program, and many other initiatives.

The elections were held at the May 27 OC San Board of Directors meeting and will take effect on July 1, 2026. Both positions carry two-year terms.
