Each year, OC San’s Operations team recognizes one operator from Plant No. 1 and one from Plant No. 2 as Operator of the Year. This recognition honors the dedication, professionalism, and commitment our operators demonstrate in keeping our reclamation plants operating safely and reliably.

This year, we are proud to recognize Stephen Duarte of Plant No. 1 and Mike Oruna of Plant No. 2!

Stephen, a Senior Plant Operator, was selected by his peers for his outstanding work ethic, professionalism, and contributions to major operational projects, safety initiatives, and team development.

Mike, also a Senior Plant Operator, was recognized for his technical expertise, leadership, and key role in maintaining reliable plant operations while supporting critical infrastructure projects and mentoring fellow operators.
