On June 9, we proudly celebrate 72 years of protecting public health and the environment for communities across Orange County. Since 1954, OC San has grown from a newly formed regional sewer provider into one of the nation’s leading wastewater treatment and reclamation agencies, now serving 2.6 million residents.

The progress we’ve made wouldn’t be possible without our skilled and dedicated staff. Operators, engineers, scientists, maintenance crews, and so many others across our team have shaped OC San into what it is today through their expertise and commitment to service.

Over the decades, OC San has continued to evolve by exploring technologies and sustainable solutions that improve wastewater treatment, water recycling, renewable energy, and environmental stewardship. As we celebrate this anniversary, we reflect on how far we have come and look forward to the future!
