With rain on the forecast this week, the weather is a bit different than the sunny clear skies we’re used to. Rain is important to us Californians, but it comes with some drawbacks. During a storm, excess water enters the sewer system, creating extra strain that can lead to backups or overflows. To help keep flows lower, try implementing a few of these water-saving tips!
- Avoid heavy loads of laundry until after the storm passes
- Postpone running the dishwasher
- Limit long showers and baths
- Turn off the faucet when brushing teeth
Small steps like these can ease pressure on the system during peak flow. OC San thanks you!
