We’re proud to announce that we’ve been honored with a 2026 Award for Excellence in Outreach and Education for our Wastewater 101 Citizens’ Academy from the WateReuse Association.

Launched in 2022, the Academy consists of four online sessions and an in-person tour that takes community members behind-the-scenes of how OC San provides collection, treatment, and recycling services for 2.6 million people across Orange County! Our program has grown from 8 graduates in its first year to nearly 45 graduates in its most recent cohort, creating informed ambassadors who can confidently share OC San’s story.

The WateReuse Awards for Excellence recognize organizations and partnerships advancing water recycling and reuse nationwide, and we’re honored to be included among this year’s recipients.
