OCSD is an essential service that looks towards the future and must continue to do so even through trying times. With construction projects underway, financial sustainability is proving to be one of OCSD’s greatest assets.

There are several upcoming projects rehabilitating and/or replacing over 20 miles of sewers in the western region of our service area. One upcoming project is the Orange-Western Trunk Sewer. Manholes and sections of sewer pipeline on Orange Avenue and Western Avenue in the Cities of Buena Park, Anaheim, and Cypress will be rehabilitated to extend their service life. The work extends on Orange Avenue from Valley View Street to Western Street, and on Western Street from Orange Avenue to just north of Crescent Avenue.

The project is currently out to bid and once a construction contract has been awarded, construction is expected to start early 2021. On site street work will include about a year of construction.
