The Orange Western Trunk Sewer Project is ready to get construction started in the cities of Cypress and Anaheim. The project is occurring along Orange Avenue and Western Avenue. The activity will be done in segments to minimize impact to the community. This work is essential to enhance the condition of the regional sewer infrastructure.

Upcoming work:

City of Cypress

Pipeline and manhole repair work will be performed on Orange Ave. between Valley View Street and Juanita Street. To ensure the safety of the community and our crew this phase of work does require permanent placement of traffic control along the work area. This means the use of concrete barriers to separate the work zone from the travel lanes.

  • Where: Orange Ave. between Valley View Street to Juanita Street in the City of Cypress
  • When: October 24 – December 2022*
  • Work Hours: Weekdays, 7 a.m. – 4:30 p.m.
  • Impacts: Lane reductions and turn restrictions. No parking will be allowed 24 hours a day during the duration of this activity. Please use caution when traveling in this area.

City of Anaheim

Pipeline and manhole repair work in the City of Anaheim will be taking place on Orange Avenue between Knott Avenue and Danbrook Drive This activity will require temporary traffic control that will be removed at the end of the work shift.

  • Where: Orange Avenue between Knott Avenue and Danbrook Drive in the City of Anaheim
  • When: October 24 – November 2022*
  • Work Hours: Weekdays, 7 a.m. – 4:30 p.m.
  • Impacts: Lane reductions, parking restrictions as work is occurring, turn restrictions. Please use caution when traveling in this area.

What to Expect:

  • Periodic traffic delays because of lane reductions and turn restrictions
  • Increased noise level
  • Certain bus stops along the route may be affected, please watch for posted signs and visit www.OCTA.net for details

As this work is completed, additional construction activity will continue along Orange Avenue.

Project Description

Manholes and sections of sewer pipeline on Western Avenue and Orange Avenue in the Cities of Buena Park, Anaheim, and Cypress will be rehabilitated to extend their service life. OC San will clean and inject chemical grout into the pipelines and rehabilitate or replace manholes along the highlighted section of the entire project area map. Small segments of pipe will also be replaced.
