Rehabilitation of the Los Alamitos Trunk Sewer continues. Repair and replacement of manholes is ongoing and will continue over the next several months along Los Alamitos Blvd. Crews are busy completing repairing or replacing manholes and removing debris from the regional sewer line.

Upcoming Activity:

Old Ranch Parkway
Repair and replacement work for four (4) manholes. This may require the removal of some landscaping to properly access the manhole and to eliminate obstructions to the pipe.

  • When: Starting week of September 12 – early October 2022
  • Where: Old Ranch Parkway in Seal Beach
  • Work Hours: Monday – Friday, 7 a.m. – 5 p.m.
  • Flagman will be on hand to direct traffic as needed.

Ongoing Activity:

Los Alamitos Blvd.
Manhole repair work is ongoing on southbound as well as line cleaning to remove debris from the sewer pipe.

  • When: Ongoing – October 2022
  • Where: Southbound Los Alamitos Blvd. between Katella Ave. and Bradbury Rd.
  • Work Hours: Monday – Friday
    • Manhole work: 8:30 a.m. – 6 p.m.
    • Line Cleaning 8 p.m. – 6 a.m.
  • Impacts for Rossmoor Way and Orangewood Ave.:
    • Bus stops may be impacted. Please visit www.octa.net for details.
    • Cross walks may be closed intermittently.
    • Left turns out of Rossmoor onto northbound Los Alamitos Blvd. may be restricted.

  • Periodic traffic delays due to lane reductions and turn restrictions
  • Increased noise level
  • Parking restrictions

 Project Description

OC San is rehabilitating two parallel sewers on north and southbound Seal Beach Blvd./ Los Alamitos Blvd., and along Katella Avenue, Oak Street, and Lexington Drive in the cities of Seal Beach and Los Alamitos. The work consists of removing calcium buildup at various pipe joints and injecting chemical grout to strengthen the pipe. Rehabilitation and/or replacement of over 70 manholes will also take place.
