Manhole rehabilitation work continues in the City of Los Alamitos as part of the regional sewer improvement project. A segment of work will take place that will require lane closures on northbound Los Alamitos Blvd. at Katella Avenue for a couple of days.

Los Alamitos Blvd. at Katella Ave. Â
Manhole rehabilitation work will take place on northbound Los Alamitos Blvd. with lane restrictions from Howard Ave. to Katella Ave. in the City of Los Alamitos. A small portion of work will be happening along Los Alamitos Blvd. and Katella Avenue that will conclude with concrete pouring around the manhole being rehabilitated. To complete this work safely and in a timely manner, lane closures are required for the concrete to harden.
- When: Thursday, May 18 to Saturday, May 20, 2023*  (continuous closure during this time)
- Where:Â Northbound Los Alamitos Blvd. from Howard Ave. to Katella Ave.
- Work Hours:Â Thursday 8 p.m. to Saturday6 a.m.

Katella Ave. & Los Alamitos Blvd.
Street restoration work that was postponed due to rain will resume in Los Alamitos along Katella Ave. and merging onto southbound Los Alamitos Blvd.

- Where:Â Katella Ave. from Oak St. to southbound Los Alamitos Blvd. to Hedwig Road
- Work Hours: Monday – Friday; 8 p.m. – 6 a.m.
*Dates and times are subject to change due to operational factors or inclement weather.
Impacts:
- Lane reductions as work is occurring.
- Increased noise, mitigation measures in place.
- Please allow extra time when traveling in this area.

 Project Description
OC San is rehabilitating two parallel sewers on north and southbound Seal Beach Blvd./ Los Alamitos Blvd., and along Katella Avenue, Oak Street, and Lexington Drive in the cities of Seal Beach and Los Alamitos. The work consists of removing calcium buildup at various pipe joints and injecting chemical grout to strengthen the pipe. Rehabilitation and/or replacement of over 70 manholes will also take place.
