30 Year Service Award
Congratulations to Rob Livingston on his 30 years of service with OCSD. Rob first began working for the Orange County Sanitation District in August of 1989 and has served most of his career as a Control Center technician at our Plant No. 2 in Huntington Beach. His most memorable day was a day when he worked on a high flow event with Tom Rood, a retired Operations Supervisor. “The main sewage pump impellers were completely submerged with water in the pump room and they were still operating. It’s a deep gallery, probably 40 feet below ground. Nothing like that had ever happened before. The pump room galleries are never submerged,” stated Livingston.
Mr. Livingston has a real talent for analyzing data and tracking chemical usage for both plants. In his current position as a Program Assistant at Plant No. 1 he has been instrumental in helping coordinate deliveries, troubleshooting problems and providing excellent customer service to both our staff and our vendors. Rob played a key role in the chemical start-up of the new Plant No. 1 and Plant No. 2 Centrifuge Buildings.
Prior to working for OCSD, Mr. Livingston worked at Casa Mexicana in Frontierland at Disneyland. When he isn’t spending his time analyzing data and troubleshooting problems at the plant, he enjoys videography and revitalizing old video projects for people.
Congratulations Rob and thank you for your years of service!
