OCSD receives Certified Distinction for its Investment Policies
Out of sight utilities can easily be forgotten, how we operate and manage our funds is not something most people think of on a regular basis. But that’s not the case for us. The Orange County Sanitation District (OCSD) always makes decisions with the rate payers in mind.
That is why we are proud to announce that we have received an Investment Policy Certification by the California Municipal Treasurers Association (CMTA). CMTA is the professional society of active public treasurers of California counties, cities, and special districts. It sets ethical standards for the treasury profession in state and local government in California.
Receiving this certification reassures us that we are providing the best quality, service, and transparency to the community.
To receive certification, OCSD’s policy must adhere with the State of California Government Code and meet the program requirements within 18 different topic areas deemed to be best practices for investment policies.
