The WateReuse Association has awarded our General Manager, Jim Herberg the Excellence in Advocacy Achievement Award for his contributions to water reuse, the wastewater industry, and the environment. The award was announced at the 37th Annual WaterResuse Symposium in San Antonio, Texas.
Over his 35-year career, Mr. Herberg has been a part of many integral projects for OC San; he managed the Capital Improvement Program at its peak during the full secondary treatment phase, was instrumental in advocating for grants for the Groundwater Replenishment System (GWRS), and played a critical role in lobbying Sacramento and Washington DC for the bottling of GWRS water for educational purposes and having it signed into law.
His contributions are many, and OC San is fortunate to have a leader with vision and commitment to excellence. Mr. Herberg has led OC San to be recognized and respected as a leader in the field. Congratulations on this well-deserved, and long-time coming recognition.
