Manhole repair work is taking place on three manholes on the intersection of Los Alamitos Blvd. and Katella Ave. in the City of Los Alamitos. This work is occurring at night when sewer flows are lowers and to minimize impact to local businesses and commuters. This rehabilitation work will extend the life of the regional sewer system.

  • Work Hours: Monday – Friday, 8 p.m. – 6 a.m.
  • Impacts:
    • Periodic traffic delays due to lane reductions and turn restrictions
    • Increased noise level
    • Potential dust
    • Access to all properties will be maintained
    • Cross walks may be closed intermittently

Los Alamitos Blvd. between Hedwig Rd. and Bradbury Rd.

• When: December 1 – end of December 2022*
• Where: Southbound lanes of Los Alamitos Blvd.
• Work Hours: Monday – Friday, 8:30 a.m. – 5 p.m.
• Impacts: Periodic traffic delays due to lane reductions and turn restrictions.

 Project Description

OC San is rehabilitating two parallel sewers on north and southbound Seal Beach Blvd./ Los Alamitos Blvd., and along Katella Avenue, Oak Street, and Lexington Drive in the cities of Seal Beach and Los Alamitos. The work consists of removing calcium buildup at various pipe joints and injecting chemical grout to strengthen the pipe. Rehabilitation and/or replacement of over 70 manholes will also take place.
