With sunny days ahead, construction continues work on the Los Alamitos Trunk Sewer Project. Thank you for your patience as we work to improve Orange County’s infrastructure.

Los Alamitos – night work

Street restoration work that was postponed due to rain will resume in Los Alamitos along Katella Ave. and merging onto southbound Los Alamitos Blvd.

  • When: Week of April 24 – May 2023* 
  • Where: Katella Ave. at Oak St. to Los Alamitos Blvd., southbound on Los Alamitos Blvd. to Hedwig
  • Work Hours: Monday – Friday; 8 p.m. – 6 a.m.

 

Seal Beach

As part of the regional sewer project, construction is scheduled for southbound Seal Beach Blvd. Paving will be taking place between Bradbury Rd. and Towne Center Way in the City of Seal Beach. Once this work is complete, crews will return at a later date to complete any pending work.

  • When: Week of April 24 – Friday, April 28*
  • Where: Seal Beach Blvd. from Bradbury Rd. to Towne Center Dr.
  • Work Hours: Monday – Friday, 8 p.m. – 6 a.m.

*Dates and times are subject to change due to operational factors or inclement weather.

Impacts:

  • Lane reductions as work is occurring.
  • Increased noise, mitigation measures in place.
  • Please allow extra time when traveling in this area.

 Project Description

OC San is rehabilitating two parallel sewers on north and southbound Seal Beach Blvd./ Los Alamitos Blvd., and along Katella Avenue, Oak Street, and Lexington Drive in the cities of Seal Beach and Los Alamitos. The work consists of removing calcium buildup at various pipe joints and injecting chemical grout to strengthen the pipe. Rehabilitation and/or replacement of over 70 manholes will also take place.
