The Orange Western Trunk Sewer Project continues in the cities of Anaheim, Buena Park, and Cypress. This project is needed to enhance aging infrastructure and extend the life of the regional sewer system.

LOCATION: Orange Avenue between Danbrook Drive and Venada Drive. 

Pipeline work along Orange Avenue is taking place in June. Permanent traffic control will be installed between Knott Avenue and Danbrook Drive to allow adequate space for the activity. This will reduce traffic lanes and impact street parking until the work is completed. 

• When: June 2023*
  
• Work Hours: Monday – Friday, 9 a.m. – 9 p.m. 
• Lane reductions and parking restrictions.

LOCATION: Orange Avenue between Venada Drive and Knott Avenue 

Upon completion of the activity noted above, crews will continue with sewer repairs further east on Orange Avenue. This activity will only have traffic control during work hours.

• When: Late June*
• Work Hours: Monday – Friday, 8 a.m. – 3:30 p.m.

LOCATION: Western Ave. between Tyler Ave. to Del Monte Dr.

Day work continues near the Western and Lincoln intersection. This work contains both day and night work and will be completed in three phases which will occur consecutively. All three phases are anticipated to be completed this summer. *

Phase 1

• When: Ongoing – Summer 2023*
• Work Hours:
  • Monday – Friday; 8 a.m. – 4 p.m.,
  • Saturdays throughout July*

Location: Lincoln Avenue and Western Avenue Intersection – night work 

• When: June 26 – mid-July 2023
• Work Hours: Monday – Friday, 7 p.m. – 5 a.m.

Project Description

Manholes and sections of sewer pipeline on Western Avenue and Orange Avenue in the Cities of Buena Park, Anaheim, and Cypress will be rehabilitated to extend their service life. OC San will clean and inject chemical grout into the pipelines and rehabilitate or replace manholes along the highlighted section of the entire project area map. Small segments of pipe will also be replaced.
