Operators are the watchful eyes that keep OC San running. They operate and monitor plant equipment, so the Plants run as they are intended to 24-hours a day. Our operators work around the clock ensuring we can perform our essential function of treating wastewater.

Every year, fellow operators and management nominate their colleagues to be the Operator of the Year – one for each of our two plants. This is a big deal as the selected person receives the recognition and praise from their peers who understand and experience what is like to do their job.

Larry Andresen for Plant No.1 and Tim Tran for Plant No. 2 are this year’s Operators of the Year.

Larry is known for his great knowledge base, positive attitude, strong work ethic, and willingness to help others. Larry demonstrates our core values through strong teamwork, utilizing his core knowledge for troubleshooting, and clear communication.  Larry’s humble willingness and enthusiasm to help others, work ethic, care for process performance, and professionalism are greatly appreciated and respected by all at Plant No. 1.

Tim has earned a reputation of having a good work ethic, process knowledge, and dedication to our field.  Tim is a hard worker and is committed to doing a good job day-in and day-out. Tim looks for ways to improve how the process is running, ensuring the area is clean, orderly, and operating well.  Tim shares his knowledge with others and is happy to help where needed following our core values. Tim’s dedication, work ethic, process knowledge, problem solving/troubleshooting abilities are greatly appreciated by all of us here at Plant No. 2.
